NEVOBO Competition

What is NEVOBO?

The NEVOBO (Nederlandse Volleybalbond) is the official Dutch volleyball association that organises leagues and competitions across the country.

Smashing Expats are proud members, with our teams competing in the Rotterdam recreational division. Matches take place on weekday evenings at different sports halls in and around the city.

Playing NEVOBO matches is a great way to improve your skills, experience real competition, and represent our club, all while keeping the focus on fun and team spirit.

NEVOBO membership

When a new player joins, a NEVOBO membership account is created with their details, and they get registered with the association as an official part of the competition. The fee is usually collected at the start of the season (around September) and it is yearly. The fee is subject to change every year/season.

For the 2025/2026 season, the fee is €225. This fee covers:

NEVOBO registration and match participation
Weekly gym rental from September to March/April (members do not pay the €5 entry fee!).
Costs for training equipment (volleyballs, antennas, nets, etc)

Club jerseys

All NEVOBO members are required to wear our club jerseys during matches. It is a great way to show club pride and boost team spirit!
